How is my Vehicle Shipped?
Vehicles are typically shipped on open ten car carriers, the giant trucks that you see on the highway taking new cars to the dealerships. Shipping on an open ten car carrier is generally safe, though vehicles shipped this way are exposed to inclement weather and other hazards on the road. Damage is rare, however, on cars shipped in an open carrier. If you are concerned about damage, however, you can always request shipping with an enclosed carrier, which is essentially a giant truck much like the ones hauled on the giant eighteen wheelers. Enclosed shipping is much more expensive though is a great alternative if you are concerned about damage.

They are, however, allowed to get away with what is known as “junk in the trunk,” meaning you can put things in the trunk of your vehicle and the shipping company does not have to know, because they are not allowed to search your vehicle. But you cannot have anything visible in the vehicle.
